Psalm 77
05:05
|
|||
Verse 1
I cried aloud to God for help;
I prayed that God would hear.
When I was plunged in deep distress,
I sought the Lord in prayer.
Verse 2
At night I stretched untiring hands,
Relief my soul refused.
Rememb’ring you, O God, I groaned
With longing as I mused.
Verse 3
In my distress I could not speak;
From sleep you kept my eye.
I thought about the former days,
The years which have gone by.
Verse 4
Throughout the watches of the night
My songs I called to mind.
I pondered deeply, while my heart
An answer tried to find:
Verse 5
“For ever will the Lord reject
And never show his grace?
Has he withdrawn his steadfast love
And turned from me His face?
Verse 6
“For all time has his promise failed?
Is God no longer kind?
Has he in his great wrath dismissed
Compassion from his mind?”
Verse 7
Then to my heart there came this thought:
“On this I will rely—
The years of the right hand of power
Of him who is Most High.”
Verse 8
I will recall the LORD’s great deeds—
your works of long ago.
I’ll meditate on all your acts;
your mighty deeds I’ll show.
Verse 9
O God, most holy are your ways.
What god compares with you?
You are the God of miracles,
whose power the nations view.

Come to the cross where Christ was slain

The hope Your gracious word imparts;
We come with trembling, yet rejoice,
Hear Your gentle lowly voice.

There is no more guilt,
There is no more shame
Come like a child, believe and abide
Find rest in the Saviours name
Find rest in the Saviours name
Verse 5
Dear Saviour, let Your pow’rful love
Strengthen our faith, our fears remove,
Gloriously reign in every breath
Guide us to eternal rest

Find rest in the Saviours name
Find rest in the Saviours name

Verse 1
There is grace for the daily war with sin
For the battles that rage within my heart
I am held in my Father’s everlasting arms
He’s my shield from the devil’s fiery darts
Verse 2
There’s a refuge from every lustful thought
From old habits enticing me away
When I fear my addictions won’t be overcome
There is hope through Christ’s resurrection day
Chorus
There is power in the finished work of Jesus
To change helpless sinners just like me
There’s contentment where nothing else can satisfy
So I’ll flee from my sin to Christ the Lord
Put my faith in the promise of His word
Verse 3
God calls all of His children to obey,
Live a life of submission to His word
May I learn what it means to seek His kingdom first
Die to self, give my all to serve the Lord
Chorus
There is power…
Verse 4
There’s forgiveness for every time I fail
As I turn in repentance from my sin
God provides all the help I need to persevere
Praise His name! that my life is found in Him
Chorus
There is power…

We Long For That Day
05:05
|
|||
Verse 1
God will judge this world so full of evil
and bring each work of darkness into light
on that day His enemies will tremble
When the King returns in glorious might
Finally oppression will be over
Secret acts of cruelty made known
Nowhere left to hide for the abuser
Every deed laid bare before the throne
Chorus
We long for that day, when Jesus comes again
When sorrow and pain will all come to an end
When justice is done and evil cast away
Oh may we all be found in Christ that day
Verse 2
On that day we’ll stand before our maker
To face our debt of sin which must be paid
There is no-one righteous, none can measure
The perfect standard Christ alone displayed
But there is hope for all who trust in Jesus
For all who know forgiveness in His name
He faced the wrath deserved by ruined sinners
And saved us from our anger, fear and shame
Verse 3
Then as The Light descended into darkness
The Son of God forsaken on a tree
In agony our Saviour died abandoned
The innocent was crushed to set us free
But on the third day Jesus rose in glory
Now He reigns in heaven from His throne
Praise the King for such an act of mercy
One day He will come to take us home
Chorus
We long for that day, when Jesus comes again
When sorrow and pain will all come to an end
When justice is done and evil cast away
Oh may we all be found in Christ that day
Oh may we all be found in Christ that day

Take Heart
06:56
|
|||
Verse 1
O God of our salvation
We cry out in our pain
While sorrow is abounding
Death’s shadow will remain
O father can you hear us?
O Father are you there?
We’re clinging to your promise
But sinking in despair
Chorus
In this world we will have trouble
But we take heart, we take heart
(twice)
Verse 2
O God of our salvation
You gave Your only Son
Who came to suffer gladly
For evil we have done
Now death has been defeated
That stone was rolled away
Yet trials still increasing
And earth is in decay
Chorus
In this world we still have trouble
But we take heart, we take heart
(4 times)
Verse 3
O God of our salvation
We long to see the day
When grief not worth comparing
Will all be swept away
Our momentary struggle
And temporary pain
Will finally be over
When Jesus comes again
Chorus
Jesus will return in glory
So we take heart, we take heart
Joyful ending to this story
So we take heart, we take heart
(twice)
Chorus 2
Jesus will return in glory
(One day He will come again)
So we take heart, we take heart
(He will come to take us home)
Joyful ending to this story
(Are we ready for that day?)
So we take heart, we take heart
(I am ready! Praise His name!)
(twice)

Praise His Name
05:02
|
|||
Chorus
Praise the Lord! Oh praise His name
He came from glory, to bear my shame
My Saviour carried my sins away
And now I live to praise His name
Verse 1
I was poor, then Jesus saved me
Now Christ my treasure, I will proclaim
Though I may live here in poverty
I have a home waiting for me
Verse 2
I was lost, but Jesus found me
I am a sinner, I went astray
But in His mercy, He called to me
And now I’m safe and now I’m free
Verse 3
I have peace and satisfaction
I’d always longed for, but never found
No earthly passion or worldly gain
Can now compare to Heaven’s claim
Verse 4
Let His church, declare His glory
Let His gospel spread like a flame
Till all our neighbours and family
Have heard His call and been set free.

Trust & Obey
03:58
|
|||
Verse 1
When we walk with The Lord
In the light of His word
There are mercies He sheds on our way,
Though we stumble and fall
He gives grace for it all
So take courage and trust and obey
Verse 2
When the mountains get steep
Shakes our faith, leaves us weak
Prowls the tempter to lure us astray
Christ our refuge and guide
Will remain by our side
Do not fear, only trust and obey
Chorus
Trust and obey
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey.
Verse 3
Come you failures and see
Hopeless rebels set free
Where the Lamb, full submission, displayed
There He paid for our sin
Now His Spirit within
Is our joy as we trust and obey
Chorus
Trust and obey….
Verse 4
In His righteousness sing!
By His grace live for Him!
As we wait for that glorious day
When our Saviour we’ll see
What a day that will be
Until then we will trust and obey
Chorus
Trust and obey….

Verse 1
All authority above
And on earth belongs to Him
Fount of wisdom, truth and love
Christ our refuge from our sin
Verse 2
As we walk this narrow way
Speak O Lord with clarity
We are prone to go astray
Give us hearts that cling to Thee.
Chorus
Give us wisdom, understanding
Give us hearts of reverent fear
In our weakness walk beside
In Your mercy, draw us near.
Verse 3
When the voice of folly speaks
With her charm and vanity
Though seductive her deceit
Give us hearts that run to Thee
Verse 4
Hear the voice of wisdom speak
In her calm and purity
Welcome simple hearts that seek
Life eternal found In Thee
Chorus
Give us wisdom, understanding
Make the danger clear to see
Mute the voices of this world
Guide our wandering hearts to Thee
Verse 5
When the tempters voice is strong
Raise our eyes to Calvary
Now the chains that bound are gone
Hallelujah! Praise to Thee!
Chorus
You are Worthy! You are worthy!
You have won the victory!
In our weakness walk beside
Now our souls find rest in Thee.

Look Again
05:36
|
|||
Verse 1
When our joy in salvation fades
Days of darkness draw near
When we find ourselves lost at sea
Drifting through tides of fear
Verse 2
When the emptiness marrs our view
Heavens glories grow dim
Caught in sadness we can’t remove
Keeps us from rest in Him
Chorus 1
Look again to Calvary where despair was overrun
Darkness will not always be now the Light of Life Has come
As you wait, wait patiently, cast your cares upon The One
Who redeemed you and will lead you safely home
Verse 3
When our hope of assurance fades
Doubts and questions arise
When we feel like we’re all alone
Far from our Saviour’s side
Chorus 2
Look again to Calvary at your Saviour’s arms stretched wide
Hanging there for all to see under dark and heavy skies
Hear Him cry in victory: “It Is Finished!” as He died
He redeemed you, He will lead you safely home
Bridge
Hallelujah! Christ died for me (x4)
Hallelujah! Christ rose again! (x6) + Chorus 1 (3-6)

Verse 1
Come, Thou long expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
Verse 2
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
Verse 3
Come Thou long expected Jesus
Bring Your light again we pray
From addiction and darkness free us
Shine the light of glorious day
Through Your church Lord bring Your gospel
To the schemes of this dear land
So that all might see Your glory
And sing praises to The Lamb.

A Mighty Fortress
05:28
|
|||
Verse 1
A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing
Our Helper He, amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe
His craft and pow’r are great,
And, armed with cruel hate
On earth is not his equal
Verse 2
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God’s own choosing
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He
The Lord of hosts His name,
From age to age the same
And He must win the battle
Chorus
Praise The One! Who reigns forever!
Though persecution comes
We will not fear
For Christ Has won!
And now no power!
Can separate us
From His love and care.
Verse 3
And though this world with devils filled
Should threaten to undo us
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us
The Prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him
His rage we can endure,
For lo, his doom is sure
One little word shall fell him
Verse 4
That word above all earthly pow’rs,
No thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also
The body they may kill;
God’s truth abideth still
His kingdom is forever
Chorus
Praise The One!...

Revelation Hymn
06:11
|
|||
Verse 1
On the final day, when the trumpet sounds
And the Son Of Man returns
Every eye shall see, every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord
Verse 2
Some will shout with joy, some will fall in fear
All will bow before the throne
All the saints of old, will be raised to life
God’s people welcomed home
Chorus
Worthy, Worthy
Is The Lamb Who was slain
Holy, God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come.
Verse 3
We must proclaim, our Saviour’s name
And the hope we’ve found in Him
That Jesus died, and He rose again
And paid our debt of sin
Bridge
He will wipe away each tear
And death shall be no more
All the brokenness restored
These former things shall pass away
Verse 4
Will our names be found, in the book of life?
Are we saved by grace alone?
Time is running out, are we safe in Christ
To stand before the throne?
|
||||

Who Are We?
03:52
|
|||
Verse 1
Who are we? But sinners saved by grace
Guilty of the charge but acquitted in the case
How can the most Holy God allow us to walk free?
Jesus paid in full for all our sin at Calvary.
Verse 2
Who are we? But damaged by our past
Prone to fall, but Christ will hold us fast
Trusting God while living with the consequence of sin
Joyful in our weakness when our eyes are fixed on Him
Chorus
Praise our mighty Saviour’s name
He left His throne on high and came
While we were still sinners
He died to set us free
Hallelujah! Jesus Christ be praised!
Verse 3
Who are we? But pilgrims passing through
Life is like a mist and eternity’s in view
Rid us of self-righteousness, the foolishness of pride
We will boast in nothing but Christ Jesus crucified
Verse 4
Now we sing! united in the fight
Justified by faith and righteous in God’s sight
Let this local church display, this truth for all to see
That we were once condemned but now in Jesus Christ we’re free.
|
||||
14. |
||||
Verse 1
Why did life get harder, the minute I believed?
Why do I need armour, when You’ve won the victory?
Why does condemnation still weigh heavy on my heart?
I know that I’m forgiven so why is this path I’m on so dark?
Chorus
God who began a work in you
Will see it through
Until completion
In your weakness run to Him
Who bore your sin
And won your freedom
Verse 2
I’ve lived my life indulging sin, now I’m learning how to flee
I have peace I’ve never known before so what is happening to me?
I owe everything to Jesus but I fail Him everyday
God promises the strength I need to walk this narrow way
Verse 3
So why do I feel weaker than I’ve ever felt before?
My life was once a struggle (This life has always been a struggle for me) but now my life’s a war
The enemy’s defeated but temptation still remains
I’ve got a thousand screaming voices whirling round and round my brain.
